Last year’s camp was the best ever.....so far 😁
And we are really looking forward to this year! We enjoyed hosting over 500 kids for last year’s camp and we’re so grateful to all who contributed and served. Also, a special thank you to the Spring Hill Fire Station for helping make memories we will not soon forget during the Water Wednesday of 2024!
This Camp is open to children ages 5-11.
The camp includes instruction in various sports including basketball, baseball/softball, soccer, cooperative games, football, and cheerleading. Qualified volunteers work with children in each sport as well as teach a Bible story each day!
Children will have fun and receive valuable training in a safe environment!
2025 will be the 15th year of The Refuge Church hosting a Sports Camp for all kids ages 5 to 11.
As soon as kids arrive they are assigned a leader and a team that is excited to greet them.
(8:30a - Gates open at 8:00a)
The colorful teams are rotated throughout the day to each group of sports with several coaches at each station.
Each day is soaked in high energy learning, fun, music and lots of playtime.
Dismissal of kids to cars is an amazing sight to see as well. As cars file in and dismissal begins at 12:00p, each kid is guided to their vehicle by a runner coach from the over 100 volunteers!
During camp, kids will begin the day learning a Bible story taught by their coaches.
Campers that choose field sports will rotate throughout the day to experience each sport.
Campers that choose cheerleading will remain in cheer throughout the entirety of camp.
During snack time each day, coaches will dive deeper into the Bible story and have a reflection time with campers. The conclusion of each day will consist of teachings on a well-known athlete or team that relates to the day’s topic.
Campers will be taught a variety of Bible stories throughout the week as well as a memory verse that relates to the theme of camp.
What is the cost?
The cost of facilitating camp has increased over the past few years and we are having to consider a small fee of $25 to cover all of the camp day’s events.

There are plenty of places to serve throughout Sports Camp week and the following Sunday.
Curious what that looks like?
